Confined Space E-Learning
Platinum Safety and Training has developed unique training options when it comes to confined space training programs.
We understand the time and costs associated with compliance training and we are here to help!
Many of our confined space training courses involve multiple skillsets, therefore requiring multiple days to complete face-to-face.
The solution: Blended Learning!
A mix of online theory lessons, activities and assessments followed by face-to-face training and assessment to complete each course.
As the theory component usually takes up half the time, we can complete this prior to the training day and concentrate on the practical elements and performance criteria.
The benefits: Minimising face-to-face training timeframes or even blended multiple courses that would normally take 2 days, now reduced down to 1.
What to expect when completing blended learning
- Theory Consists of online work involving multiple interactive theory lessons, virtual, simulated activities such as conducting hazard identification, risk assessments, applying for confined space entry permits and confined space set ups. - All completed at your own pace, prior to the face-to-face training and assessment day!
- Practical consists of hazards analysis and risk assessments, creating a rescue plans, setting up the confined space, gas testing and following procedures with the issued work permit. This is conducted during 2 x confined space entry activities (1x horizontal entry and 1 x vertical entry – utilising tripods, winches, fall arrest systems, ladders, etc in our specialised confined space training unit – Providing our students with realistic and challenging work spaces.
