Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Training NSW & ACT
Platinum Safety and Training conducts onsite elevated work platform training, at your workplace for corporate group bookings.
The training provided is commonly known as Yellow Card training.
Workers that operate any elevated work platforms such as:
- Scissor lifts (any height)
- Vertical lifts (any height)
- Boom type EWP (Platform height under 11m)
All have a legal duty of care to ensure they are provided with adequate training: Please see reference to: WHS Act 2011: Division 2:19
Part of your legislative responsibilities are to ensure that you have undergone suitable training for the plant you intend to operate - Therefore, only competent persons shall be involved in the operation of the MEWP - Reference: (AS2550.10.5.2)

EWP Training Sydney, NSW & Canberra - Yellow Card Training
This 1 day course is the minimum requirement for all workers who will operate a range of EWP's including Scissor lifts, vertical lifts, boom lifts with a platform height under 11m, etc.)
Course learning outcomes:
- Legislative requirements
- Hazard and risk assessments
- Different types of elevated work platforms (EWP)
- Fall arrest systems and rescue planning requirements
- Pre-operational checks
- Logbook and maintenance requirements
- EWP operations
- Pack up and shut down procedures
Course consists of both theory and practical, including theory and practical assessments.
Duration:
- Full face-to-face: 1 day - 8 hours
Prerequisite:
- There is no prerequisite for this course.
Award option 1: (recommended) - Nationally Recognised Training
- Upon successful completion of this training, students will be awarded a statement of attainment, which will be emailed on completion of the training course.

- RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform +
- Verification of Competency (VOC) - on all EWP's used during the training and assessment
Award option 2: - Non-accredited training
- Upon successful completion of this training, students will be awarded the "Yellow card", issued by the EWPA.
Units of competency awarded:
- Photo ID Yellow card
